WASHINGTON -- Kazakhstan's president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, traveled to the United States this weekend for a whirlwind tour of the greater Washington, D.C., area's all-you-can-eat buffets.
"I am so happy!" he said while at China Buffet in suburban Chevy Chase, Md. "I have eaten here for two days, and not once had goat!"
Since he was in the area, Nazarbayev decided to stop by the White House and see fellow president George W. Bush. The two leaders discussed the need to fight terrorism and encourage moderation, "except in eating," Nazarbayev said. "He didn't mention anything about moderation in eating."
Kazakhstan is a nation nearly the size of Argentina, but with a Gross Domestic Product smaller than Morocco's. The country is best known for being satirized by British comedian Sasha Baron Cohen.
On his way home, Nazarbayev was stopped by airport security for trying to board his plane with 16 styrofoam containers overflowing with various buffet pickings. He was not allowed to board with the food.
"But it is for my country!" he was heard protesting as the food was tossed into a garbage bin by a 340-pound security guard.
"I have eaten here for two days, and not once had goat!"
Haha, priceless!
